March 2 Your
Elevator Speech
What are your
priorities as a follower of Jesus in this
season of your life? If you’re talking with someone on an elevator, can you
tell them in a few sentences the specifics of why and how you’re following
Jesus? What’s your “elevator speech,”
your mission statement in this season
of your heavenward way?
“You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall
love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law
and the Prophets” (Matthew 22:37-40).
“Know thyself” was an
ancient Greek proverb. How are the two great commands being prioritized in the
present season of your life? Time to reboot your purpose?
